Is the mystery of the Libyan tyrant who was executed finally solved?

One of Kadafi's closest advisors told that the mother of the ousted tyrant was indeed Jewish, and that Kadafi murdered three senior figures who revealed the sensitive information.

According to the Ma'ariv newspaper, in an interview with the El-Chiat newspaper, Nuri El-Masmari, who was the head of ceremony under Kadafi's reign, related that the Libyan tyrant had a desire to kill. Among others, he told that during a fishing tour to Romania during the '80's Kadafi made sure to liquidate a senior army officer since he knew that his mother is Jewish.

Masmari also related that the Libyan ambassador to Italy, and a media attaché in the diplomatic delegation were killed after they reached documents which prove that Kadafi's mother was Jewish. "He tried to invent an accusation that this has to do with Libyan opposition, but that's not true," he said.

This is a first verification by a senior factor in Kadafi's reign that the tyrant – who was executed last October, after a civil war – was indeed of Jewish origin, that being after over the years different claims regarding his Jewish connection were published.

In February last year, Gita Buaron, a Netanya resident told during an interview with Ma'ariv, that her father told her that her grandmother's sister from her father's side, was the grandmother of Kadafi. Buaron, 76 years old, was born in the city of Sirat in which Kadafi, whom she described as a "mischievous" boy, was born too.

"Grandmother became a Moslem, but never forgot her Jewish roots", Boaron told Ma'ariv. "She used to come visit us, gave my mother money and said: "Give it to the shull, donate it to Jews" I remember she was a fat woman. The Moslem women went with a cover over their face when they went out to the street, but she didn't agree".

Another testament regarding Kadafi's Jewish connection, which was published in 2009, came from a family in the center of Israel, according to which his mother's original name was Razala of the Tamam family. At the age of 18 she met a Moslem man and was married to him. One of her children was Moamar Kadafi.
