Women of Satmer, renew. 'Beis Din for clothes' founded
A year ago the Satmer Rebbe announced the foundation of a special Kashrus committee for women's clothes. Towards Pesach, the committee will start its activity, in cooperation with Babov and Papa. The Rebbe to women: "demand the Hechsher".

About a year ago, during a special "Tisch" which was held on Pesach, the Satmer Rebbe announced the founding of a special Kashrus committee for women's clothes. The initiative was revealed in "Behadrey Haredim" and caused echoes in other Chassidus, who considered adopting the initiative and founding their own Beis Din for women's clothes.
During the last year, gatherings were held in which Askanim, Rabbonim and heads of seminaries took part, and in the next few weeks the committee is supposed to come into formation.
In the "Shushan Purim" Tisch, which was held on Motzaei Shabbos at the large Beis Midrash of the Chassidus in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the Rebbe announced the foundation of the committee in cooperation with Dayanim from the Babov and Papa Chassidus.
"Be'ezras Hashem," said the Rebbe, "now, towards the shopping for Pesach, it will be possible to get the kosher and modest clothes in all the shops selling women's clothing in New York".
According to the plan, each piece of clothing will have a label attached to it marking it with the special Hechsher.
The Rebbe asked the Tzibur, and especially the women, to demand of the store owners the new Hechsher. "Anyone who wants to earn money should know that he needs to sell only with a Hechsher", said the Rebbe. "If it will have demand – it will succeed, Besiata Dishmaya".
