UN confirmed that 20 soldiers of UNDOF Force (Force Control of separation of the United Nations) were abducted by the rebels in the Golan Heights. Their condition was not reported.

The kidnappers, who call themselves "Yarmuk units of the rebels" have announced that they captured the soldiers, stationed in the buffer zone between Israel and Syria.

They said they would hold the hostages as long as the only remnants of the Syrian army would not retreat in the Golan Heights, mainly from a point called Jabala.

Meanwhile, UN officials are sitting in vehicles and they can not get out. The rebels, for their part, accuse the hostages of helping Assad's forces trying to take over the village Jamala.

Syrian rebels continue to fight forces loyal to President Assad and brag about their successes. In a video disseminated on the network, a cell is seen identifying a Syrian army helicopter and throwing towards it a shoulder missile. The photos show the hit and crash of the helicopter to the ground.

The missile launched and which hit the military helicopter is a missile from China and the successful attack was carried out near the Naireb Air Force base, near the city of Aleppo. The footage shows two members of the squad, with one holding the missile and the other directing it, to the sound of shouting "Alla hu Akbar."
