For the first time since Rabbi Eliezer Berland fled to Morocco, a video documenting his actions there leaked.
The leader of Shuvu Banim fled Israel following serious suspicions against him, leading to a police investigation. B'Chadrei Charedim recently received a video taken in Marrakesh.
As reported in B'Chadrei Charedim, they Rabbi spent Pesach in an apartment located in front of the synagogue, Beit El, belonging to the Jewish community in Marrakesh. Today the Rabbi was in Casablanca and is expected to return the next day to Marrakesh.
But plans can change.
On one of the days of Pesach, immediately after the morning prayers, Rabbi Berland asked to say Divrei Torah before the congregation, and immediately after to hold a kiddush marking the exodus of Israel from Egypt.
Sources at Shuvu Banim recently reported that the Rabbi is aware of the tumult around him. However, the video clip revealed for the first time, that the Rabbi looks completely relaxed and not worried at all.
Tonight, Channel 2 reported that followers of Rabbi Berland met in Morocco with the offender Shalom Domrani at Casablanca airport. Domrani frequently stays in Morocco. According to one of the disciples, Domrani even came to help the community after financial distress.
