"The Rebbe's dollar"- Warren Buffett giant deal

"The Rebbe's dollar", huge deal: Berkshire Hathaway Company belonging to the billionaire Warren Buffett announced yesterday (Wednesday) that it will acquire the remaining 20 percent of Iscar of the Wertheimer family, for 2.05 billion in cash.

Berkshire acquired 80 percent stake in the Israeli company in 2006, for four billion dollars. This was at the time one of the biggest deals ever - being involved in Israeli society, and Buffett's largest bet outside the United - States.

Boaz Bismuth, foreign editor of the newspaper Yisrael Hayom met yesterday with Buffett, to have a short interview with him on the occasion of the deal signed. Before the conversation with Buffett, his friends living in Kfar Chabad asked him to send him a dollar given at the time by the Lubavitcher Rebbe ztvk"l.
Following the interview Bismuth gave him the dollar.

"You know, if I take this dollar with me to Israel, you will see how I make it in Israel into ten dollars," he said.

Bismuth immediately explained to him that this is a dollar with a blessing, then Buffett replied: "It will bring me luck? Okay. I will keep the Rebbe's dollar."

Before Bismuth left, Buffett posed with Eitan Wertheimer, and gave him his wallet to photograph. "You can keep it, there is nothing in it. You took two billion, after you took four billion from me a few years ago. Now I'm only left with the Rebbe's dollar."
