Following the Chardakim campaign waged against the Orthodox soldiers IDF Personnel Directorate section contacted today (Tuesday) JAG demanding to prosecute the instigators and those responsible for violence that erupted against Haredi soldiers.
The campaign included ads and illustrations of horror against haredi soldiers dragged severe violence against them. Many cases of violence were recorded against soldiers who walked with IDF uniforms in Haredi neighborhoods.
A source at Orthodox Personnel Directorate told B'Chadrei Charedim "we turned to JAG due to a sense of responsibility and concern for the safety of the soldiers, the Prosecutor's Office will work through legal means so that the police will act against those responsible for the violent campaign."
He adds: "A soldier who made a choice to serve in the army must feel confident in his life and in his place of residence. It is the responsibility of the Israel Police. "
He added that the integration department of Orthodox in the IDF will continue to monitor and provide backup for Orthodox soldiers.
