Tragedy in Stamford Hill • young avrech collapsed and died

Tragedy in London: today (Friday) evening Shabbat Parashat Shelah, the avrech Rabbi Yosef Shlomo Berger z"l was accompanied by hundreds at his funeral. The deceased was 27 years old at his death.

Recently he became sick with pneumonia. He suddenly collapsed at his home this morning on Forberg road in the Stamford Hill neighborhood, and lost consciousness.

Rescue volunteers were called and tried to resuscitate him for more than an hour and then was taken to the hospital in full resuscitation and in critical condition, but his condition deteriorated and he returned his soul to its Creator.

The deceased was Stamar chassid and haredi community activist in Stamford Hill in London, the son of Benyamin Eliezer Berger from Antwerp, Belgium, Chairman of Ezrat Yisrael for the children of Yemen.

He married the daughter of Rabbi Eliezer Lev, dignitary and important family of Satmar. The grandfather Reb Yeshayahu Zev Lev is the head of the Satmar London audience.

He is survived by two young children and widowed wife.

The funeral left today (Friday) from his home at 16:00, on its way to the Satmar cemetery in London.
