UK police announced the opening of a criminal investigation against the British MP George Galloway, after the latter declared that the city of Bradford will be "a zone without Israelis".

Galloway, a senior member of parliament, said this while the Palestinian flag was flying behind him. He added that the region will now say "no to goods from the Jewish state".

We do not want any Israeli products and services. No Israeli academics, and not tourists. Israel is a barbaric and cruel state," he stated.

Of course, this raised a storm in the Jewish community in Britain. Galloway is considered pro-Palestinian for years, but completely denies being anti-Semitic.

Robert Halfon, the city community spokesman, responded: "These are outrageous and crazy things. I am shocked at Galloway's claims. Fortunately, the majority of citizens in Bradford are tolerant and decent, and I believe that they will ignore the demands of Galloway, and despise them."
