For the first time since Rabbi Eliezer Berland's arrival in Morocco,Rebbetzin Berland landed today (Monday) in the country for a visit which will last two weeks.
The first time Rebbetzin Berland went to meet her husband after he fled from Israel, was to Switzerland before Pesach, shortly after the affair was exposed – due to which the Rabbi is wanted by the Israel Police for investigation.
Immediately after the chag the Rebbetzin returned to Israel, and the Rabbi went to Morocco where he has been until now.
The Rebbetzin arrived this morning in Marrakech, Morocco where she came to after she gave a shiur to the women in the community synagogue yesterday on Ido Hanavi Street in Jerusalem.
Recently the Rebbetzin planned to visit her husband in Morocco, but for various reasons, including the wedding of her grandson, Nathan Goldblum, providing regular classes to women in the community and participation in community celebrations which were no less important to her she postponed the plan.
During her stay in Morocco, the Rabbi will not deliver shiurim to a small group of local chassidim.
