After Rebbetzin Tehilla Berland visited her husband in Morocco, his son Nachman will come too • the tensions between father and son, and the precarious situation of the community

Nachman Berland, son of Rabbi Eliezer Berland, of Shuvu Banim, will come to Morocco to visit his father, a visit which will last several days and is of considerable interest within the community.
The reason for this: since Rabbi Berland left the country he and his son never met. Between father and son relationship is complex, and there is tension between them at the moment due to various issues related to the community.
Manager of the Shuvu Banim institutions, Naftali Bitton, will also join the trip.
B'Chadrei Charedim has learned that one of the issues that will come up between the Rabbi and his son is the community's economic situation and the sale of the community building – which recently aroused a storm. Sources close to Rabbi Berland recently accused Nachman that he shares responsibility and failure that caused the economic hole which the community fell into.
According to a source in Shuvu: "The Rabbi and his son talk on the phone almost every day, and this is a routine visit."
His wife, Tehilla Berland recently visited him in Morocco, having not met with her husband for several months. The visit lasted a few days following which she returned to Israel. Tonight she will be attending the bar mitzvah of her great grandson.
