Haredi PR Ambassador at Al Jazeera: Yitzchak Pindrus

It is not every day that international Arab media channel viewers of Al Jazeera get to watch the internal struggles in Israel. But this week, a special broadcast of the Arab media channel popular all over the world, aired a 40-minute program on the ultra-Orthodox and various issues related to lifestyle, military, employment, the economy and education.

Among the guests at the transmitter were four: representative of liberal Judaism in the U.S., sitting at the television studio in Washington and attacked the ultra-orthodox position and control of the rabbinate in Israel, younger secular explaining the secular position in Israel on military and economy in its attitude to the Orthodox, and with them were two - ultra orthodox woman active against the provocations of the 'Women of the Wall' and a partner who set up a parallel organization under the name women for the Wall', and the deputy mayor of Jerusalem, Yitzchak Pindrus.

Pindrus, who was hosted at the Jerusalem studio of the station, answered for each transmitter, all claims against the ultra-Orthodox public, and surprised the Arab interviewer who expressed when she finished the transmitter that it was fascinating.

Al Jazeera has about 300 million viewers each day, and to the surprise of many, the Haredi occupation interested millions of viewers who responded to the article on various social networks around the world.

Pindrus, who speaks fluent English, was chosen to represent the ultra-Orthodox and did not hesitate to attack the conflicts raging against the ultra-Orthodox and the desire to create de-legitimization for the Haredi public, regardless of dealing with these issues of military and economy.

Transmission which sent shock waves around the world was not the only one. Pindrus's office in recent weeks indicated that the deputy mayor of Jerusalem was interviewed by many more international media, including the popular British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, which will publish articles shortly on the conflict in Israel.

"As a trustworthy representative of the public and its agents, the deputy mayor of Jerusalem uses his skill and abilities to help the orthodox even through PR. As a fluent English speaker he does so at his meetings with world leaders, and interviews with international media," says Yerach Tucker, a media adviser who is accompanying Pindrus in recent months. "We received responses from all over the world and there is no doubt that wherever we can explain the orthodox position – we will do it."
