Less than a day since the coalition which the U.S. is trying to formulate for a military action in Syria, sustained a hard hit – with the British parliament's decision not to intervene, it gains a somewhat surprising strengthening in the image of French Prime Minister Francois Hollande.

"Each state is independent in its choice to participate in the operation or not. This applies to the United Kingdom and France alike," said Hollande when asked by the Le Monde whether France will go out to action against Syria without Britain.

Meanwhile, in Damascus itself, UN inspectors are preparing to leave the country. Several versions argue that this afternoon (Friday) inspectors conducted a last tour in order to identify indications for use of chemical weapons, but according to other versions - the inspectors are already on their way out of the country. This is significant information as it is likely that an attack will not be launched before the inspectors leave Syria.

Israel continues its preparations: Last night a Patriot battery was spread out in Gush Dan too, in addition to the Iron Dome located in the area. This is in addition to the Arrow missile system which is at high alert. Alert was also raised at the police and other forces went into a ready mode.
