Assad sent aircraft to British base • Ya'alon reassures: "continue plans"

U.S. President Barack Obama, working to convince the American people and the center - Congress, the necessity of military action against Syria, meanwhile - spokesman for the British Ministry of Defense confirmed yesterday (Sunday) that the British aircrafts stationed in Cyprus, were called last week after they identified an aircraft, likely Syrian, coming toward a base of Akrotiri in the south of the island.

According to the report published in the Daily Mail, UK Ministry of Defense confirmed that an unidentified aircraft entered the international space located east of the island. Planes retreated without required interception.
A military source told the "British" Sunday People: Recent intelligence reports have warned of an attack on Akrotiri. "This is the base Britain holds overseas, serving more than 1,300 staff.

Defense Minister Moshe (Bogie) Ya'alon spoke last night at the International Institute for Counterterrorism and referred to state of an American attack on Syria. "We are the first place, looking at the Syrian civil war for two and a half years, proclaim and act as someone who is not involved and someone who does not get involved unless they harm our interests which we called red lines. However, we are preparing for the consequences of such action or failure to act that way."

Ya'alon said: "The bottom line assessment of the situation today is saving routines. Anyone planning a vacation during the holidays can continue planning and to my estimation it can be be carried out without getting hurt."
