Palestinian burst with a tractor on the army base - and was shot to death

Attempted terrorist attack? Palestinian burst this evening (Thursday) into a nearby military base near A-Ram, southeast of Ramallah, driving a tractor. After hitting military vehicles at the scene, an officer and a soldier opened fire at him. Palestinian was critically injured and taken for medical treatment, where he was pronounced dead.
During the incident, an IDF soldier was mildly injured. Military forces were sent forward to and an investigation was launched.
Yousef Al - Rdiida age 30, from Beit Hanina, the terrorist who was shot dead, is the brother of Al Marai - Rdiida , also committed a terrorist attack using a tractor near the Malha Mall in Jerusalem which injured two police officers riding in a patrol car and shot to death.
Palestinian officials say that prior to the attack tonight at the base in north of Jerusalem, was a demolition order to the terrorist's family Yunis Rdiida in the Beit Hanina neighborhood in northern Jerusalem.
Investigation of the incident revealed that at around 19:00 the terrorist driving a tractor came near the camp Rama near the village A-Ram. Tractor approached the gate entrance to the camp and guard battalion went to him for inspection. At this point the tractor driver drove towards the soldier and tried to run him over .
"The soldier jumped at the last moment to one side and the terrorist did not give up. He turned and tried again and again to overwrite the soldier who had scrambled towards the booth at the gate," said a senior officer in Judea and Samaria. "At this point the terrorist raced at the post and hurled it by the fork lift a few meters ahead when the soldier was inside. Consequently the soldier's weapon was thrown, his radio broke and the soldier was lightly wounded in the leg. What prevented from the terrorist to continue to harm the soldier is a concrete pillar erected near the entrance.
The terrorist continued 150 meters into the base whilst breaking the gate, hitting one of the vehicles of the battalion and later an armored jeep. Two fighters who heard the noises were quick to identify it as a terrorist attack, opened fire on him and disarmed him. "
"We had no special warning," said the officer," but recent sequence events at the division definitely sharpened us." The military source said, there is no clear explanation for the sequence of events in the sector in recent weeks, even if there is no connection. "For us it changes the picture and we see the last period very seriously and conducted a wide range of events."

Two weeks ago, Noam Glick, a girl playing in her yard inside Psagot was hit by a terrorist, and was transferred to hospital. The next day, Al-Quds published a video which shows IDF forces arresting the brothers Alaa and Fares Adawi , aged 25 and 26 in the town of Al Bireh near Ramallah, which was suspected of terrorism.
Attack three weeks ago at the Tomb of the Patriarchs, a Givati Brigade soldier was murdered, Gabriel (Gal) Koby hy"d 20, by sniper fire, taken to hospital where he died on the operating table.
