Shock in Belza: Dayan Rabbi Chaim Yechiel Roitman zt"l
In Bnei Brak, member of Beis Din Machzikei Hadas and Rav of Belzer Beis Midrash on Ben Yaakov Street, died this morning suddenly at age 66

Baruch Dayan Ha'emes: In Bnei Brak the Dayan Harav Chaim Yechiel Roitman zt"l, a member of the Beis Din Machzikei Hadas and Rav of the Belzer Beis Midrash on Ben Yaakov Street in Bnei Brak, passed away this morning suddenly, at the age of 66.
The deceased z"l was born in Australia on sixteenth Nissan 1937 to his parents Harav Avrohom Alter Roitman and his mother, the late Mrs. Tova A"H.
When young, he studied in the Torah institutions and yeshivos of Belz, where he was considered one of the good bochurim. He built his home with his wife, the daughter of Rabbi Moshe Gross z"l, the former Mashb"k of the Mahar"a Belzer Rebbe zt"l.
When the Badatz was founded in 5740, he was appointed as a young man by the Belzer Rebbe, along with older members of the Badatz, as member of the Beis Din Machzikei Hadas of Belz.
He was a porush and kadosh, G-d-fearing, disseminated Torah, who all his life toiled in Torah.
Was in charge of all committees of Belz including the committees of tznius and technology. Over the years, he was appointed to serve as Rav of the Beis Midrash of Belz on Ben Yaakov Street in Bnei Brak, where he served for thirty years as rabbi of the community.
Yesterday afternoon he was still sitting in a panel discussion in the Machzikei Hadas Beis Din of Jerusalem.
Belz Hasiddus bitterly mourns the tragedy of his death.
He is survived by a blessed generation: eight children and dozens of grandchildren. Among his son-in-law: the mashpia Harah"tz R' Yehoshua Fink.
The funeral left on Tuesday from Bnei Brak.
May his soul be bound in the bond of life.
