London: Hundreds of haredim demonstrated outside the offices of pathology
Following the delay in releasing the body of Israeli charity collector Rabbi Mordechai Weiss for burial, hundreds of ultra-Orthodox protested

The body of Rabbi Mordechai Weiss z"l, is lying still in the cooling at Humartan London hospital for several days, infuriating local large Orthodox community due to delay of the dead.
Recall, last Sunday Rabbi Weiss who stayed at the home of Rabbi Yosef Goldstein Stamford Hill in London, stumbled on his way home, got a stroke and was taken to hospital unconscious. Two days later he returned his soul to its Creator.
Rabbi Mordechai Weiss is a well-known figure in Jerusalem, and he was in London for the purpose of raising funds for charity.
The main pathology of Stamford Hill neighborhood on Thursday ordered the body to perform an autopsy, but his family and activists petitioned to the court issued an injunction to prevent the autopsy. Pathology for its part, said it will meet the court last Monday, and finally asked for another day to answer. Tomorrow (Wednesday) will be a discussion regarding the human autopsy. According to pathology, one of his relatives told that Rabbi was suffering from vertigo. Well as medical documents brought from Israel by the family and various documents orthodox community – haven’t helped convince the pathology to give up on an autopsy.
Following the severe delay, demonstration preparing this afternoon outside the office of primary pathology on Poplar Street.
Ads published under the title "The residents of our city coming into space" called London residents to cry out and scream peacefully, to "avoid delays caused by pathology and there is concern of desecration of the dead," the ad stated.
Buses came from the school of Satmar towards the demonstration at Pinter's.
R' Asher Grad explains: "Here in London there is a very strong force of the Institute of Forensic Medicine, and with his head the Institute decides to insist on an autopsy - only a court can intervene. Problem here is that those who head morgue insists conduct an autopsy to check the cause of the downfall of the deceased, as a result of the fall he lost consciousness and died a few days later.
"Activists who are engaged in work since Wednesday last week presented a letter from a big professor in London declaring that in this particular case you can check the cause of the fall by taking CAT scans, and the photography in this case it is better for the autopsy. Activists hired London's best lawyers, those received advice and assistance of a charity organization which specializes in New York.
"Lawyers stabilized yesterday Monday before the Judge, but the institute pathological yet submitted their side, so the judge decided to get an injunction autopsy, but he refused to release the body. Lawyers enclosed to the professor's letters of courts domestic and muftis rabbis wrote that the prohibition went and contempt of the dead. We now continue to run around and see what we can do; the deceased died a week ago and has not yet been buried. Every school building, cheiderim and boardroom, all pray. "
