Hgr"y Yosef calls: "Cancel Bein Hazmanim at yeshivos"
During his weekly sermon at Izdim the Rishon Lezion called out to cancel Bein Hazmanim and to avoid trips and work on the study of Torah

Tonight (Motzei Shabbos) the Rishon Hagaon spoke at his weekly sermon in Izdim and called out to cancel the Bein Hazmanim at the yeshivos following Operation Preventive Edge.
Words of the Rishon Lezion: "If the war continues after Tisha B'Av – it is not right that boys will go out for Bein Hazmanim whilst there are soldiers at war, we must continue to learn, not, so I think to continue the usual arrangements for yeshivos, and even if not we must continue to learn and not go out on trips at this time."
Rishon Lezion told of the closeness of soldiers to Torah and mitzvot at such a time, noting that he visited the wounded soldiers in the hospitals of which are far from Torah and commandments and saw their simple faith. Also, he asked to continue to pray and cry and learn for the success of Israeli soldiers in the battle against our cruel enemies.
