Moshe Friedman will attend appeal for Gaza's children on Shabbo
Antwerp provocateur will participate in appeal for medicines of children in Gaza • Friedman: "children are killed in the name of our religion in front of the whole world"

Moshe Aryeh Friedman from Antwerp will be the guest of honor for the sake of an Appeal for Gaza's children drug delivery, which will take place in Antwerp in the midst of Shabbos, as reported this week in a local newspaper.
The event will take place on Friday night of Parshas Ki Savo, on which Jamal Munir will hold a fundraising dinner for the children of Gaza who were injured during the war.
Friedman said that he explained to the conference organizers that he could not attend the conference because of not travelling on Shabbos, but the conference organizer Jamal Munir invited him to stay at his home. Eventually it was agreed that Friedman will reside in a hotel nearby the conference, and kosher lemehadrin catering was ordered from him for the Shabbos meals. However, local residents claim to Behadrey Haredim that such participation involves certain Chilul Shabbos, by the use of microphones and appearing on television.
This special conference will be held in the city of Kortrijk near Antwerp, with the participation of philanthropists and pro Palestinian opinion makers. A newspaper headline in Het Neusblad, said "Rabbi stays with Muslim in Kortrijk (Antwerp)".
At night, Friedman will be staying for the night at the organizer Jamal Munir. "There will be a symbolic value to it," said the organizer. "On Shabbat Jews are forbidden to drive, but the rabbi found this event so important, that he will arrive on Friday already at Kortrijk. I offered him to come stay at my house and he was very pleased with the proposal. We do not know each other but both of us have the same purpose: to help the Palestinians in distress, "said Jamal Munir, organizer of the dinner with Philippe Desmet of the PVDA party.
"This proves once again to everyone that we have no struggle here with the Jews," says Jamal, "Indeed, we have an aversion to what is happening in Gaza but for that we are not Jew-haters. It is important that people know that even in the Jewish community there are those who oppose the politics of Israel against Gaza."
Friedman's response: "I do not represent, and too bad it's that way, the majority of my community, but still I manage to convince more Jews, although it is still taboo to say it out loud in my community. I do it first of all for the children in Gaza. But also because the war in Gaza is very dangerous for Jews all over the world. In front of the whole world young children are murdered in the name of our religion."
Note that a month ago Friedman attended similar Appeal held on Friday night in his hometown of Antwerp. The event took place in a building that was used as a church, which is located near the Beis Midrash of Belz in the city.
