Anti-Semitic attacks in New York against Haredim

Only a week has passed since the murder of Rabbi Raskin in Miami, and the US doesn't calm down: Anti-Semitic attacks on Shabbos in Haredi neighborhoods in New York

A week had passed since the murder of Rabbi Raskin in a Jewish suburb in Miami Beach Jewish last Shabbos, and again there are anti-Semitic attacks in Boro Park, the largest religious neighborhood in New York.

The incident occurred last Friday night at Fort Hamilton Avenue and 42nd Street, a group of four avreichim walked the streets which are mostly populated by Haredi Jews, when they suddenly found themselves surrounded by eight young people of Hispanic origin, who began shouting anti-Semitic slogans at them in light of the war in Gaza.

The verbal violence soon turned into physical violence in which the four were wounded, one of them was rushed to the hospital. Neighbors who heard the shouts called the police, a volunteer of Hashomrim and Hatzalah who lives on the street, arrived at the scene but the youngsters were able to escape under cover of darkness.

Hatzala members gave first aid to the wounded, members of Hashomrim tried to chase the young men, but they were unsuccessful. According to Hashomrim organization, police arrived after a long time, even though it knew that there were casualties.

On Saturday night, the yeshiva students filed a police complaint. Community activists demanded that the police find the perpetrators and punish them. Meanwhile Hashomrim organization is checking whether on the scene or nearby security cameras were installed to document the event.

A little while prior to that, a group of haredi Jews who left shull on Friday night, were attacked. A group of worshipers left the Beis Midrash of Telsk Hassidus on Friday night when two youngsters riding a bike threw stones and other objects at the group of Jews while shouting insults against Jews.

In Miami Beach, Florida dozens of haredi Jews gathered at the place where a week ago, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Raskin was killed on his way to shachris. Miami Police is investigating murder refuses to see the murder as racially motivated despite a neighbor's testimony because who had heard the anti-Semitic calls made by the killers.

In order to calm things down Miami Police held a press conference on Friday and said that it has a lead and has caught the owner of the vehicle which was seen by security cameras during the murder and will soon find the killer and will have the reasons for the murder.
