New York: Jewish man rescued from mikvah, after being drawn into the pit of water.

Firemen were called this morning to the Chabad mikveh on East Side, after a person who dipped in the mikveh was sucked into a hole-launch and could not get out.

The incident occurred at 9:30 at the Chabad mikveh in Manhattan when a man came to the mikveh and his leg was sucked into a hole in the launch of the pool.

It turned out that the launch of the hoped-hole which is usually covered, this time it was open, and the man who dipped hadn’t noticed that.

The man called for help, and people who were in the synagogue and heard the screams rushed to call for help.

Police Chief Mark Rosenbaum said that the fire brigade forces took about fifteen minutes, until they managed to pull out the man's leg. The man was rushed to hospital with a fractured leg.
