Attempt to attack Jewish school in Marseille: an unknown armed with a pistol arrived last Wednesday at the gates of the Jewish school 'Gan Ami', pointed his revolver at the school and shouted "I'll kill all of you, we are able to more than you think".

The incident occurred yesterday afternoon at the Gan Ami school located in Quarter Six of the city of Marseille ahead of time when a thousand Jewish students finish their studies.

Fortunately for the students, they were still in their classrooms. The school principal was quick to tell the children and staff to withdraw into classrooms, while he called the police.

Until the arrival of the police, the principal and staff managed to smuggle the children out of the building through a back door. Police reinforcements arrived and were able to capture the suspect.

Police are checking possible directions of the affair and suggests it could be an insane person, and not necessarily an attempt which is racially motivated.

Marseille Jewish community is closely following the findings of the investigation, and admitted that the incident could have ended in bloodshed similar to the attack in Toulouse.
