The amusing round of punches between the Foreign Ministries of Sweden and Israel continues. This time the Israeli response: "to send a piece of furniture without screws does not help."

Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nachshon, commented in an interview with Army Radio that the Swedish foreign minister offered to send Minister Lieberman Ikea furniture "so that he learns to assemble a piece of furniture – he needs an instruction manual and partnership."

"It's nice to send a piece of furniture from IKEA," he said, "but when he's with an explanation leaflet in an unintelligible language and missing a screw in the furniture - it does not help. Until the crisis with Sweden, there were excellent relations with it – its recognition of a Palestinian state has surprised us."

The Foreign Ministry brought back the Israeli ambassador for consultations after the Swedish government's decision to recognize a Palestinian state and Nachshon explained that "the return of the ambassador is a well known action in international relations. The Swedes got the message."
