Tonight (Wednesday), the Jerusalem police received a report about a toddler who fell out of a driving car in Jerusalem.

MDA team called to the scene, gave the 3 year old girl medical care, and she was evacuated in mild condition to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in the city. The mother accompanied the girl to the hospital and is at her bedside.

An initial investigation of traffic examination which came to the hospital indicates that the mother, a resident of the neighborhood, apparently had not strapped her daughter. Car door opened for some reason during the trip, and the girl fell out and was injured.

The license was taken, and the details were recorded. Later, after her daughter's release from the hospital, she will be questioned by the traffic division of Jerusalem.

A week and a half ago, on Friday night, atoddler fell out of a driving vehicle in Beit Dagan. The two and a half year old, was fatally wounded and died at Assaf Harofeh Hospital. The driver, the partner of the mother, took advantage of the commotion and fled with the vehicle. About an hour later he was arrested by police in hospital.

Details of the investigation show that the vehicle was driving from Rishon Lezion to Tel Aviv. Apparently the girl had no belt and the door was unlocked, and at the Beit Dagan junction turning she fell out of the car. It remains unclear whether the girl opened the car door, or it was opened due to contact.
