Quote of Maran and the flag of Israel: Behadrey Haredim reveals the campaign of the movement 'Ha'am Itanu' led by Eli Yishai, which from tomorrow will be on billboards, buses and the press.
After Behadrey Haredim was the first to reveal last week the name of Eli Yishai's party, "Ha'am Itanu," tonight the website reveals the movement's first campaign.
In a first campaign to appear on billboards, buses and the press, quotes of Harav Ovadia Yosef zt"l about the party chairman, Eli Yishai, will appear.
Currently campaign designers decided not to use pictures of Hagr"a Yosef for the party's campaign. This is in contrast to Shas which made extensive use of the image of Harav Ovadia.
However use will be made of the familiar saying of Harav Ovadia about Yishai, which he repeated many times: "Eli Yishai - he is faithful in all mine house", a statement which has a broader meaning about Yishai's dealings, characterized, according to Harav Ovadia's testimony, by trust and integrity .
So too, perhaps for the first time in the history of a haredi party, Yishai chose to be photographed behind the flag of Israel, an element which never appeared in the publications of the Shas party.
Highlighting the flag paints the party with national right-wing colors, it seems that the messages of the movement are aimed at a target audience that is rightist, as well as other communities who are not the traditional Shas voters.
"Our campaign emphasizes the Torah of Israel as well as the land of Israel", say the movement members.
The campaign will be realized through the heritage of Maran by quotes rather than through his pictures .
The image of Yishai and Shetbun will lead the campaign, also contrary to the Shas movement who until now hid away the image of the party leader Aryeh Deri.
