Watch: French interior minister visited the Paris yeshivos

Following the Paris Jewish communities fear of further attacks, France's interior minister Bernard Casanova and mayor of Paris arrived today (Monday) to visit the institutions of Yad Mordechai in the city.

The tour of the two took place following the massacre at the supermarket, Hper Cache. First they came to the kindergarten, where the wife of the head of the institutions Rabbi Yitzhak Katz talked of the importance of the relationship and mutual contribution of Jews to the country.

One of the girls went to up the Minister with a bouquet of flowers. The minister was moved by the gesture, bent down and kissed her, and then they went to the Talmud Torah, where 250 children were waiting waving France's flag.

Director of the institutions Rabbi Eliyahu Sherbit, spoke about the importance of liberalism and freedom of religion that France provides.

The mayor also spoke, and at the end of the sermon said to the kids: "I am your mother."

From there they went to the yeshiva, where the Minister was welcomed by Rabbi Katz. The Minister spoke a number of words and promised that all the 700 institutions in Paris - will be secured by soldiers 24 hours a day.

After the visit a festive lunch was prepared for guests with community activists, including David Maimon, the owner of Hyper Cache.
