In light of the massacre at the Jewish supermarket in Paris, France, and the fear of the future, local rabbi of Ashdod Rabbi Yosef Scheinin went up this morning (Monday) to the residence of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky to ask his advice if to fly to France for the trip which was planned before the attack.
Hgr"y Scheinin was due to leave on Thursday on a strengthening journey and meetings with tycoons for the benefit of institutions that are headed by him.
In view of the prevailing security situation in France, Hgr"y Scheinin visited the residence of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky on Rashbam Street in Bnei Brak, and Rabbi Chaim told him not to go there now.
According to associates of Rabbi Scheinin, as soon as he heard the clear order of Rabbi Chaim – he canceled the ticket as required by his mentor.
As mentioned yesterday Rabbi Chaim has ordered anyone who asked him to immigrate to Israel that and not stay in France.
