New member of Shas Council at R' Aharon Leib's home
Hagaon Rabbi Reuven Elbaz who was appointed member of the Council of Torah Sages of Shas came to the homes of R' Aharon Leib, R' Chaim Kanievsky, R' Gershon and R' Yaakov Edelstein to receive their blessings on the appointment • Harav Elbaz was crowned last Thursday by the President of the Council Hagr"s Cohen who came to Yeshivat Ohr Hachaim • The RAv came accompanied by his son Rabbi David Elbaz, and and stayed in R' Aharon Leib's room for about fifteen minutes

The new member of the Council of Torah Sages of Shas, Hagaon Rabbi Reuven Elbaz Rosh Yeshiva of Ohr Hachaim, arrived today (Monday) in the afternoon for a visit to the home of Hagaon R' Aharon Leib on 5 Chazon Ish Street in Bnei Brak to receive his blessing on his entry into the new role, and from there continued to the home of Hgri"g Edelstein on 17 Ra'avad Street in Bnei Brak.
Harav Elbaz was crowned for the first time as a member of the Council of Sages last Thursday when he arrived for his weekly lesson, and Council President Hagaon Rabbi Shalom Cohen announced his appointment as a member of the Council.
Last Saturday night Harav Elbaz gave a preliminary lesson at the Yazdim shull in Jerusalem, and then the Rishon Lezion Hagaon Harav Yitzchak Yosef thanked him and again mentioned him as a member of the council of sages and the greatest in outreach activities in our generation.
Today, as mentioned, Harav Elbaz and his son Rabbi David Elbaz, one of the heads of institutions, arrived at 5 Chazon Ish Street in Bnei Brak to receive a blessing. Harav Elbaz stayed in R' Aharon Leib's room for about fifteen minutes.
According to associates of the Rav, he visited the homes of Gedolei Yisrael in order to unite the ranks of the Jewish people, Gedolei Yisrael expressed tremendous appreciation of the powerful tshuva activities of Harav Elbaz, which are unprecedented in recent generations.
After the appointment of Harav Elbaz, the serving Council members are the President of the Council Hagaon R' Shalom Cohen, Hagaon R' Shimon Baadani, Hagaon Rabbi Moshe Maya, and Hagaon R' David Yosef.
Harav Elbaz also came to visit Hagaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky on Rashbam Street and Hagaon R' Yaakov Edelstein, Rabbi of Ramat Hasharon.
