Kalibo Rebbe, harav hatzadik Rabbi Menachem Mendel Tauov, last week sent a moving message to US President Barack Obama, in which he addressed him as an American citizen, and says that "it is not enough to declare that you are a friend of Israel, you have to prove it with deeds" .
In a video sent by the Rebbe to President Obama, he says: "I am a US citizen, a survivor of Auschwitz killing, call to you dear President and ask you to prove your friendship to Israel with acts, USA is the land of grace, it is one of the largest and most important in the world, you were elected president of the Empire, by God chose you to be the president, I want you to know that God who chose you, like the land of Israel, and all eyes are for Israel, and the whole world comes to visit in Israel and the Western Wall.
"In the world there are many anti-Semitism. I turn to you and ask you to show the world that you are helping Israel and what happened seventy years ago will not happen again, and Jerusalem, - will forever remain intact", concludes the Rebbe in a message to President Obama.
