Victory at Yated: will not publish the Women's Party

The Supreme Court accepted this evening (Sunday), the newspaper Yated Ne'eman appeal against the decision of the District Court in Lod to require the newspaper to publish Party election ad Haredi women of Ruth Colliano.

Lod District Court last Friday was a precedent-setting decision that forces the newspaper to publish at least one election ad on behalf of Orthodox Women's Party. Judge Jacob Shepser ruled that the newspaper "Yom L'Yom" will be required to advertise, after two newspapers refused to do so to date.

The petitioner, Ruth Kelian, backed by the Center for the Advancement of Women Studies Rackman, turned first to the CEC but was rejected. It was based its claim on the principle of equality and anti-discrimination elections. The list has already received the papers quote, but after having transferred the ad, was refused publication.

As stated in the Supreme Court reversed the decision.
