A little more than two months after the attack at hyper cache supermarket in the 12th district of Paris, supermarket opened this morning (Sunday) again with a high-profile event, attended by French interior minister Bernard Kzanov – who conducted the first purchase - and Jewish community leaders.
The store was completely destroyed during the attack. Further, past the supermarket renovation, recruited new staff today 'hyper cache, was reopened. "We think of all the victims," said the new director of hyper cache, Laurent Mimon, "This is what pushed us to reopen." Minon wears a black skullcap when he walks around the renovated supermarket.
France's interior minister, Bernard Kzanov, participated at the supermarket repoening. "It is important we share honor those who fell in the fire barbarism," said Kzanov at the opening ceremony, secured by large police forces.
