Thursday: President of the Council of Sages leaves for Europe
During his visit will give lessons and discussions in the Jewish communities in France and England and meet the community rabbis and senior government officials

A lot of excitement in the Jewish world in France towards the historic journey of the President of the Council of Torah Sages HaGaon Shalom Cohen who comes to strengthening Jewish communities in Europe.
Hgr"sh Cohen will go out on Thursday for a Europe trip which will last six days in which to visit the Jewish communities in France and England. This is the first visit of Maran in Europe ever.
Hgr"sh Cohen's arrival in Europe needed a chain of networks and coordination between the various authorities, and because he is the presidency of the Council of Torah Sages of Shas, Hgr"sh will be secured throughout the entire journey by special security forces.
On Thursday he will arrive early morning, accompanied by his entourage to Ben Gurion Airport, where he will meet at the plane with senior El Al staff and crew who will be blessed before the historical flight.
Upon landing in Paris, Chief Rabbi of France, Israel's ambassador to France and Jewish community leaders will wait for Hgr"sh.
During the visit of the President of the Council will visit among others the great Torah institutions in and around Paris.
Also there will be a special reception by hundreds of children who will welcome Maran with singing and flags dressed in fancy clothes for the historic occasion that France has not seen in years.
Considerable excitement among neighboring communities is also seeking to be visited.
During the coming Shabbos Parashas Vayikra, Hgr"sh will stay at the home of Chief Rabbi of France Hagaon Sitruk, where he will have dinner and give religious lessons in the synagogue of Rabbi Sitruk near his home. Sunday will carry the keynote address at the conference Darshu in France to more than 5,000 participants.
This visit of the President of the Council of Torah Sages, caused quite a stir in the Jewish world in general and that of Europe in particular, the fact that this is the first trip of Hgr"sh, since crowned to serve as president of the Council of Torah Sages.
