Exclusive to behadrey haredim: background to the big victory of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shows that the evening prior to the election, a well-known Orthodox figure was asked him to pray for him at that the Lubavitcher Rebbe's tomb in New York.

Menachem Gesheid, senior public figures in the Haredi sector, was on a special mission of 24 hours in New York. Gesheid took advantage of his stay to come to the tomb of the Rebbe of Chabad.

During his stay Gesheid spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu and he asked him to pray for him at the tomb of the Rebbe, promising that will guard the land of Israel to stay complete. Together with Gesheid was Chabadnik journalist, Yossi Elituv.

He also asked that he write for him a pitka, including his name and his mother Zila and his request.

Netanyahu who wasn’t sure about his victory stated that we will be faithful to Israel.

Netanyahu also mentioned his close relationship with the Lubavitcher Rebbe over the years and said that he sees it as a merit that a few hours before the opening of polling stations, someone pray for his success at the Rebbe's tomb.
