A 60 year old man was seriously injured in a work accident tonight at a factory on Hayetzira Street in Petah Tikva, Hatzala organizations drives gave him first aid, and he was taken to hospital.

Details of the case show that at a matzah bakery in Petah Tikva, one of the supervisors went into one of the machines for the production of dough to test the machine's kashrus, and meanwhile the machine started to operate and he was seriously injured.

Yitzchak Mahbovian, volunteer in Ichud Hatzala who was on the scene, said: "This is a factory matzos for Pesach, we were told that this is a supervisor who entered a machine for the production of dough to confirm that the machine has been cleaned properly, for an unknown reason the machine started to operate and he was hit on the head and upper body.

"I and other volunteers gave him first aid and then he was taken by a mobile intensive care unit to Beilinson Hospital when he is sedated and on a respirator and in critical condition, the incident is under investigation."
