Thousands led by rabbis and Admorim New York, and Mayor Bill de Blasio, attended today (Sunday), the funeral of seven members of the Sasson family who died in New York.
The funeral of the Sasson family children, Elian, Rivka, David, Yehoshua, Moshe, Sarah and Yaakov left at 15:00 (US time), from the funeral home "Shomrei Hadas" Boro Park.
Father Gavriel Sasson, eulogized his children in tears: "I lost everything. You had the faces of angels. You were higher souls."
When the father eulogized the entire audience burst into tears, heart-rending scenes were also seen during the funeral when close family members found it difficult to part from their loved ones.
The coffins are now on their way to Israel and the children will be buried at Mount Hamenuhot in Jerusalem. Aryeh Frankel El Al spokesman said the bodies of the children should arrive with the 008 flight from Kennedy Airport in New York; the plane will land in Israel at noon tomorrow.
