Fire in Viznitz Beis Midrash: holy books were burned
During the night a fire broke out in the Imrei Chaim Beis Midrash, next to the Vizhnitzer Rebbe's home; sifrei kodesh went up in flames

A fire broke out last night (Sunday) in the Imrei Chaim Beis Midrash which is adjacent to the Viznitzer Rebbe's house, as a result of yizkor candles lit without excessive caution.
Fire crews were called to the scene and extinguished the fire, while Ichud Hatzala volunteers secured their work. No one was injured in the incident, but many sifrei kodesh went up in flames.
"Tonight is the yahrzeit of the Imrei Chaim of Viznitz of blessed memory," says Efi Feldman head of Ichud Hatzala office in Bnei Brak, "avrechim lit candles and apparently were not careful enough.
