Afraid of the roar: Mayors bring Shas representatives
The mayor of Hadera in a special effort to restore the local coalition Shas, after who retired upon the expansion of the Sabbath desecration in the city

Is the expected entry of Shas Chairman MK Aryeh Deri, to the Interior ministry putting pressure on mayors who haven’t maintained good relations with the local Shas party?
Behadrey haredim learned that Mayor Zvi Gendelman on behalf of Yesh Atid, who fired during the past year the members of the Shas party, headed by Boaz Bitton - because of his opposition to the opening of cinema and entertainment center in the heart of Hadera on weekends and holidays, trying to bring them back to the coalition.
In recent days, since the end of the election, the mayor makes an effort to return the council members from Shas Boaz Bitton and Nissim Avitan to urban coalition, and ready to reach an understanding with sensitive issues.
It should be noted that at the time Boaz Bitton went out for a struggle against the Mayor he received backing from Rabbis of Hadera and Chairman Aryeh Deri.
A senior at City Hall explains: "The mayor had no other choice, even though he does not like haredim to say the least, he must understand that the rules have changed now, and it will give Shas everything they ask for." Adds the senior who notes, "Boaz Bitton acted with integrity was amazing and principles and the principles of the Sabbath and at the end he comes out the big winner."
In a conversation with Boaz Bitton he confirmed the existence of negotiations with the mayor.
