Baruch Dayan Haemes: News arrived from the United States about the death of Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Treger zt"l, Rosh Yeshiva of Antwerp and son in-law of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach who passed away at the age of 81.
Hgry"a zt"l suffered from a fatal illness and went to the US for medical treatment - where he stayed during the last period and despite all the sickness and pain kept silent, but to the sorrow of his students and his family he returned his soul to its Creator.
Hgry"a Trager zt"l, served as Etz Chaim Rosh Yeshiva, known as Rosh Yeshiva of Antwerp, and was the son in-law of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach zt"l.
The deceased was born on 5th Kislev תרצ"ד to his father Hagaon Rabbi Avraham Trager zt"l of Amshinov and his mother Nechama a"h. On Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan תשכ"ב he arrived in Antwerp to serve as Rosh Yeshiva Etz Chaim and served there until his death.
The funeral procession will pass by the Lakewood yeshiva at 13:00 (New York time) and tomorrow at 16:00 will leave the Beis Yisrael Beit Midrash in the Ezrat Torah neighborhood of Jerusalem, will pass by the Ohel Yehoshua Beit Midrash on Minchat Yitzchak Street towards Har Hamenuchot.
