Infiltrated from Gaza with a knife and grenade "to kill Jews"

Southern District Attorney District Court filed an indictment against a resident of Gaza, Mohammed Faraj, 19, who had infiltrated into Israel through the fence near the Kisuffim community, equipped with fragmentation grenades and a knife, bearing signs reading: "Shahid Muhammad Faraj".
In addition, a letter that the defendant had arranged which details that he entered Israel to kill Jews because of the massacre carried out by Israel during Operation "Preventive Edge". During interrogation the accused claimed he wanted to be arrested for a long time, so he wrote the letter and carried the grenade.
According to the facts of the indictment, filed by attorney Eran Sabri, on Thursday at around 16:30, the defendant came to the border fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel, near the community of Kisuffim, as he carries a knife length of about 12 cm , grenade "spray" made in Iran and he stated caption: "Shahid Muhammad Faraj".
In a letter he carried, in time, the defendant: "Muhammad Jamal Hassan Faraj Azzedine Alshid Qassam entered Israel with a knife and manual bomb, to kill Jews because Israel has carried out the massacre of civilians and children in the recent war in Gaza."
The defendant climbed over the fence, dropped to the other side of the area and walked away into Israel. IDF forces who rushed to the spot found the defendant just 200 meters from the fence inside Israel. The knife was seized, fragmentation grenade was destroyed, and the defendant was arrested.
The indictment charges the defendant with infiltration offenses and weapons offenses. The prosecution filed a motion with the Court to detain the defendant until the legal proceedings against him.
