This afternoon (Sunday), there was an accident on Sarei Yisrael street corner Hashmonaim in the Makor Baruch neighborhood of Jerusalem. A resident of the area, Chaya Stipenholtz a"h, 67, was wounded and evacuated to the Shaare Zedek Hospital, when her condition is mild.

Her condition deteriorated in hospital and she apparently died of a medical complication.

According to the account, during the orthopedic check up she had shortness of breath. Hospital doctors performed resuscitation, but to no avail.

"A CT examination after death denied any source of hemorrhage," the hospital said to Behadrey Haredim. "Since the patient was suffering from a significant heart disease the assumption is most likely she died from a heart attack."

The deceased, Chay Stipenholtz A.H., 67, was the daughter of the late R' Aharon Leib Abovitch z"l and granddaughter of Icheh Yehudah Behr Tzishinski, of the prominent families in Gur.

Her husband, yibadel lechayim, Rabbi Yechezkel Stipenholtz, was deputy chairman of the religious council in Tel Aviv, where he invested greatly in spreading Judaism in the city. A decade ago, they moved to Jerusalem.

The funeral will probably take place tomorrow (Monday) at 11:00, from the Shamgar Funeral Home to Har Hamenuchos.
