Court: Volunteer Gerrer chassid must compensate Eideh member

Jerusalem Magistrate's Court imposed a penalty on a police volunteer in the Sharon area, a gerrer chassid named Nehemiah, to pay the sum of one hundred and twenty-five thousand to a member of the Eideh, Rabbi Avraham Hirschman and pay attorney fees and court costs in the amount of sixteen thousand shekels.

Lawsuit filed by Rabbi Avraham Hirschman to the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court by attorney Itamar Ben Gvir, argued that for a long time took place in most acts of infringement on the part of Ger due to the conflict in Warsaw Homes, and the lawsuit relates assaults against Rabbi Hirschmann even torched his house. Argued that the police acted with negligence, did not conduct a serious investigation and spurned the complaints of Rabbi Hirschman.

As to Nehemiah, a gerrer chassid who was a volunteer with the police, the lawsuit was based on a ruling set by the guilt of a criminal breach of trust by Nehemiah on Twenty-seventh Tishrei Tsh"a, Nehemiah knew that Ger was planning to attack Rabbi Hirschman, he asked to volunteer for safekeeping of that day pointing out to the head that his night shift is going to be chaos, and told another policeman that he wanted to volunteer to have an alibi that he had no involvement with regard to the attack, later Rabbi Hirschman was attacked by a group of Gur Hasidim, and volunteer Nehemiah helped the attackers and helped them conceal evidence.

Two years ago, he was indicted by the Police Investigation Department, accused of helping the attacker Avraham Hirshman.He was charged with breach of trust, but because of a plea bargain to stick with DIP determined that he would be convicted and imposed community service work.
