Yavne hall operated without a license; City Hall: "There was approval of police and fire protection"

According to the municipality of Yavne, Yavne banquet hall acted albeit without a business license, but only because of the delay in approval from the Ministry of Health - the municipality, police and fire protection have already confirmed their place • "Design and Installation accessories - do not require a building permit"

Following reports that the banquet hall in Yavneh was not licensed, (Tuesday), a spokesman for the municipality reported this morning that the hall had a license from the municipality and the police, and only because of the approval of the Ministry of Health a business license was delayed.

Municipality spokesman Ariel Heller said this morning: "existing structure of a building permit and Form 4. Managers Hall applied for business permits and has received approval from the Commission Fire and Israeli police, but so far have not yet met all the conditions for the license, including the approval of the Ministry of Health, therefore, there was no license.

"The city manager for several months has been preceding the indictment, including the subject of running the business without a license. Magistrate's Court in Rehovot discussed the matter and had not ruled on the issue. It should be clarified that, by law, interior design and installation of accessories of all kinds does not require a building permit and the responsibility are with the hall and its operators.

"The city is in contact with the families in need of assistance, condolences to the bereaved family and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured.

Recall, a central glass chandelier collapsed last night (Monday), at the Adia Hall in Yavne, when a 'Henna' was held at the place - A woman was killed and dozens were injured. Two of the owners and event manager, were detained and a closure order was filed.

A woman in her fifties was hit in the head and killed, a man of about 30 was injured in the head and seriously wounded, 22 others were slightly injured and taken to hospital, evacuated to Kaplan Hospital, Tel Hashomer Assaf Harofeh.

Brigadier General Commander of the Sharon Yehuda Ben Atar, said: "This is a serious incident tragic. Tonight at midnight we received report of the event of the collapse of a chandelier which injured 21 people, and there was also a woman who was killed. This is a chandelier fixed to the ceiling above the celebrants. Three people were detained for questioning related to the social hall ".
