Red alert was heard on the Gaza border this evening (Tuesday). At 22:05 rocket fire was detected at the Hof Ashkelon and Gaza perimeter communities.
Alarm activated in Netiv Haasarah, Zikim, Karmia and Yad Mordechai. Police and IDF forces searched the area and the rocket hit was identified near the greenhouse at Moshav in Hof Ashkelon.
Sheikh Omar Hadid Detachment, ISIS supporters, claimed responsibility for the attack. The IDF attacked Gaza in response.
The IDF spokesperson said that IDF attacked using aircraft of the Air Force rocket launcher in the northern Gaza Strip.
This launcher from which shots were fired at Israeli territory earlier in the evening. IDF also announced that "Hamas is a terrorist organization and should address responsibility."
Chaim Yellin (Yesh Atid) said: "The investigation committee of the next war should begin its work now rather than when the IDF was forced to go to battle after months of shooting at civilians communities. I look forward to the Secretary-General strongly condemn the war crimes committed tonight in Gaza and urge the Israeli government to stop and look at what is happening from the side, to protect Israeli citizens and strive for a political horizon. "
Chairman of Yisrael Beitenu, Avigdor Lieberman said: "Whoever is willing to absorb raindrops - will eventually receive heavy rain. We must not accept this situation.
