Decisions of the Council: do not give up on budgets, and fully support Eichler

At the home of the Agudath Yisrael executive in Jerusalem, met today (Monday) Council of Torah Sages of Agudath Yisrael, for the second time within a month, with the participation of the Admorim Council members along with Secretary Rabbi Mordechai Stern and members of the Knesset's movement - deputy ministers Yaakov Litzman and Meir Porush and faction chairman Menachem Eliezer Moses and Yisrael Eichler.
Council of Torah Sages meeting was called urgently this past day, dealt with the request of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the religious parties give up budgets (child benefit and conference budgets) promised retroactively. This means that the benefits apply only from passing the budget and not from the signing of the coalition agreement - as agreed in advance in the negotiations, and thus the citizens lose allowances of nearly five months.
Members of the Council of Torah Sages convened in view of the requirements of the Admor of Gur to convene and to decide on this issue. Assembly took the decision not to give up on the issue of extra benefits retroactively.
More decisions: unqualified support for the candidacy of MK Yisrael Eichler as representative of the appointment of judges, and the conditioning of the support that the Norwegian law.
Behadrey haredim learned that Admorim Council meeting also discussed the huge rally which will warn against the hazards of technology and the devastating consequences of using non kosher devices.
Recall, the previous Council meetings Admorim discussed the evils of technology and the Council issued a series of instructions and regulations on the subject, some in connection with the institutions and students who use the non-kosher tools.
Council of Torah Sages attended by Admorim Ger, Belz. Sanz, Slonim, Bayan, Sadagura, Biala and Modzitz. Admorim Viznitzer brothers who are in Britain and Switzerland participated through a telephone call.
Following the Council session Knesset faction meeting was canceled, and council meetings earlier than 16:00, so that MKs will be able to participate in the no-confidence votes expected in the Knesset.
