40 Lev Tahor members were expelled from Summer Camp in Quebec

The Lev Tahor cult continue to star in the headlines: Forty members of the cult held a Summer Camp in two apartments – they were removed from the apartments because of complaints from neighbors. The incident took place at the weekend in the city of Ste-Agathe-des-Monts in Quebec.

Mayor Denis Kalifoks said on Thursday that complaints reached his office from neighbors who said that about forty people attended two apartments, which the Lev Tahor cult rented for a few days, and set up without permits "Summer Camp".

According to him, it became clear that the investigation conducted by law to rent an apartment can be a minimum of one month, renting an apartment for at least a month is illegal. Summer Camp also put up by Lev Tahor, was built without proper permits.

As mentioned, some two hundred members of the cult who lived in Quebec until two years ago - fled when social services visited the site an found severely maltreated children and demanded to transfer some children to foster families, members of the cult who had acquired all of twenty houses were confiscated by local authorities for non-payment of various taxes and duties citywide.

In November 2013 the cult members left Guatemala, and left their homes, which were sold by the authorities and some, remained empty.

The mayor said that later several members of the cult sent money to pay off their debts. It should be noted that members of the cult who fled Guatemala settled in a remote village in the country, but were also were driven away because of complaints from neighbors and residents.
