The government approved today (Sunday), a tourist visas exempt from Belarus. According to the decision, tourists coming to Israel for a period of ninety days, will not be required to arrange a visa in advance. Tourist visa will be issued with entry at the border.

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Silvan Shalom decided today (Sunday) to exempt citizens of Belarus of a tourist visa. The purpose of the agreement, which is mutual, is to facilitate the procedures for tourists visiting the two countries and thereby to strengthen and develop the tourism and economic relations between the two countries.

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Silvan Shalom expressed his satisfaction with the agreement: "This is a significant step that aims to develop and contribute to the tourism industry, in the hope that the number of tourists arriving from Belarus will grow over time and will help both tourism and the economy in Israel."
