This morning (Sunday) it was cleared for publication that the Central Unit in Jerusalem and the GSS arrested two weeks ago, nine young Arab men suspected of throwing Molotov cocktails at a vehicle on Axis 20, causing the injury of two people, and at the 'Beit Hashiv'a' in Beit Hanina - in retaliation for the death of the infant Ali Dwabasha at Duma village.

Superintendent Yigal Elmaliah, Jerusalem Central Unit investigation officer said that "During the last two weeks nine suspects who were involved in several events have been arrested by the Central Unit and ISA. This is a significant link, they prepared the Molotov cocktails and came together when every one has a defined role. One was a lookout, the other saw the driver is wearing a kippah and then they threw the bottles".

Inbar and Uri Azraq who were in the vehicle, were injured when a first Molotov cocktail was smashed at the car window, another bottle penetrated and when Inbar tried to get out, another Molotov cocktail was thrown. Inbar was wounded moderately and is still hospitalized and her husband Uri was slightly injured. After they were rescued from the car, it slid downhill and hit a number of additional vehicles. A soldier who saw the burning car tried to extinguish the fire and was injured by the explosion of a tire.

"Their goal was to frighten Jews traveling on the road and avenge the murder of Duma village. They admit a few other incidents of throwing Molotov cocktails," says Elmaliah.

The Beit Hanina squad members were arrested and indicted are: Wasim Muhammad Salih Kostiro (19), carrying an Israeli ID card (resident card), formerly imprisoned for involvement in nationalistic terrorist activity in Jerusalem, threw the Molotov cocktail at the vehicle. Hussam Mohammad Said Kirsh (18), carrying an Israeli ID card (resident card), served as a lookout in the attack. There are two other members, minors, aged 16-17, who threw Molotov cocktails at the vehicle. A request was filed for their arrest until the end of proceedings.

During interrogation terrorists admitted that following the attack in the West Bank village of Duma on Tu B'Av a month ago, which caused the death of the infant Ali Dwabasha and his father, and his family who were seriously injured as a result of throwing Molotov cocktails into the house of the family, they decided to carry out revenge attacks against Jews.
