Concern: missionary raid on the South

These days an extensive missionary conversion campaign is run by the missionaries of "Jews for Jesus" in the entire southern region.

In the campaign missionaries are disseminating propaganda material in abundance to passers-by, standing on intersections and bridges, on main roads and centers which are packed with people and spread ostentatious signs with messages of clearly Christian missionaries and do whatever they wish to dupe unsuspecting Jews and convert them.

In Sderot, Netivot, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Kiryat Gat and other cities, mainly on major junctions such as Yad Mordechai junction, Masmiah junction, Castina, Ad Halom Junction and at several points along Highway 6 South, missionaries stand holding large billboards and handing out propaganda to drivers. At the same time missionaries flood the mailboxes in these cities with destructive preaching and propaganda material and cover the parked cars with leaflets.

The missionary scale of deployment across the south testifies to the fact that every day the call center of Yad L'Achim receives dozens of new inquiries of Jews from all circles. These Jews testify about missionary shifts in these major intersections and others, waving placards and distribution of dubious educational materials.

On the other hand Yad L'Achim activists with reinforced teams, are divided into teams that await the missionaries wherever they appear, arouse public opinion to elucidate the exact purpose of the missionaries.

At the same time, Yad L'Achim has also begun publishing a warning broadcast on local radio stations in the south of the country, warning the public against the danger of Missionary rampant in the streets. The activities of Yad L'Achim's struggle is coordinated by Rabbi Binyamin Walkan, one of Yad L'Achim, who directs the activities of teams of activists, according to flowing and changing information each hour. "The public's distaste for missionaries surprises us every time. We see how the Jewish heart beats and the public's sympathy to us," he says.

Yad L'Achim said this week that "once again we realize that the law against the mission is vital and crucial to preventing the fall of innocent Jews in the missionary network".
