Train frequency will be reinforced, ticket stations will be placed, Sukkot were built along the line in favor of service to passengers and concerts will be held at stations

Towards Succos: Light Rail prepares for masses of visitors



Towards Succos, CityPass company of the light rail is preparing in advance for the masses of visitors expected to arrive in Jerusalem. As part of its preparations, train frequency would be greater, more ticket positions will be placed and along the traveling line Sukkot have been erected for the public at central stations.

As part of the service for passengers, CityPass will increase the train frequency during peak hours on Chol Hamoed, so that as from 09:00 am to 20:00 pm the train frequency will be six minutes. In the evening, between 20:00 pm and 22: 00 pm, the train frequency will be 11.5 minutes instead of 14.5 minutes today.

In addition, and in order to help the visitors to the city, CityPass will place additional sales positions and unmanned stations to sell individual tickets for the Light Rail at Mount Herzl, Central Station, Ammunition Hill and City Hall (Safra Square).

At Mount Herzl, the Central Bus Station and Ammunition Hill, at which many passengers arrive, CityPass has established, in cooperation with Sukkot Jerusalem and the municipality, large and decorated Sukkot for public use.

During Succos there will be performances of the veteran children's choir 'Pirchei Yerushalayim' at the Central Bus Station and Machane Yehudah.
