There is no limit to distortion: the 'New York Times' published an article doubting if there were temples on the Temple Mount. After a minor storm, it corrected itself, "not sure where they were".

Against the background of recent terrorism and the struggle for the Temple Mount, the New York Times published over the weekend a review of the area and the fight around it.

In the article, journalist Rick Gladstone wrote that "many experts and books discuss the volatile question if there were Jewish temples on the Temple Mount."

This is of course nonsense: there are plenty of archaeological evidence and remnants related to the temple on the mountain. Except for Palestinians 'researchers' no one denies the past existence of Jewish temples on the mountain. But the Palestinians, for whom the denial of history is their daily bread, deny this fact too.

The reporter further quoted a researcher who says: "This is a politically charged question," and explained that the question at the heart of the Muslim-Jewish conflict is over the Temple Mount.

After the request of the 'Camera' organization, which monitors the US media, and many others, the newspaper wrote a revised article that "an earlier version of the article was wrong regarding the definition about the precise question of the two ancient Jewish temples, which were discussed in books and many academic papers. The question is where exactly on the site of the Temple Mount were the temples, nor whether there were temples on the site at all."

Thus, according to the revised article, the result is embarrassing, for is the source of bitter conflict between Jews and Muslims due to a conflict over whether the temple was on the southern mountains or in the north?

What don't they do in this paper, so it seems, to refrain from saying the simple truth: The Palestinians deny the historical truth.
