Today (Monday) a little after 14:00, there was another stabbing attack in Jerusalem, on Bar-Lev Street, close to the national headquarters, during which a policeman was injured.
A police officer spotted the terrorist who aroused his suspicion on Haim Bar-Lev Road, called to her to stop. The suicide bomber walked on and noticing that he was approaching her, she turned toward him with and stabbed him with a knife. The officer acted very professionally, managed to cock the weapon and neutralized her.
The policeman, aged 20, was treated by MDA teams and Ichud Hatzalah drives and was evacuated while lightly injured with minor cuts to Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus. The terrorist of about 18, was taken in moderate condition after being neutralized by the security forces. In addition, there is a man arrested on suspicion of aiding her.
Minutes later, another report was received on suspicion of a stabbing attack in another light rail station at the Davidka Square. The police conducted a pursuit of the suspect into the Klal Center, where he was arrested. The background to the event is still unclear.
